1st Yellowstone River Rats Jig-N-Fest Held

The 1st Yellowstone River Rats Jig-N-Fest was held. There were 12 teams. The teams had a decent day weather wise and the fishing was even better. Every team except for two came in with their tournament limit of five walleye/sauger.

2011 Yellowstone River Rats winners were:

1st Gary & Stacie Mindt 14.14

2nd Eddie & Justin Mindt 10.12

3rd Todd & Alfred Dooley 10.0

4th Larry Mindt & Cole Houchen 9.80

Largest Walleye: Miles City and Billings team of Keeley Montgomery and Justin Zabrocki, 5.20.

Largest Sauger: Larry Mindt and Cole Houchen, 2.60

Largest Northern: Larry Mindt and Cole Houchen, 6.14

Multi-species: Gary and Stacie Mindt: 5 walleye, sauger, northern, sturgeon and white bass.

Closest to winning weight: Justin Zabrocki, 13.73.

Thanks everyone for helping out cleaning fish, hope you enjoyed the day and the fish fry.

We hope to add sponsors and teams to next year’s event so keep it in mind for a fun fall day on the river.
