McKenzie County 4-Hers Participate In State 4-H Events

The 2012 State 4-H Clothing Revue was held on Monday, July 23 at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. Karissa Monsen of Watford City and member of Banks Willing Workers 4-H Club participated in the teen division of the event wearing her sewn blue tie dyed dress with ruffled sleeves. Sister Kaylin competed in the preteen division with her sewn sundress. The girls were among about 50 youth modeling various clothing items in this special showcase of youth from across the state.

The 4-H Clothing Revue offers 4-Hers the opportunity to select and make clothing that will be becoming and expressive of their personality. 4-Hers also select suitable accessories and model garments needed in their wardrobe. Knowledge and skills learned in 4-H through clothing projects are shared with others.

The 2012 State 4-H Project Expo was also held on Monday, July 23 at the North Dakota State Fair.

Krystal Wold of Watford City and member of Banks Willing Workers 4-H Club entered her table top display, “Tie Dye Fun” in the teen division of this annual event.

Over 50 youth from across North Dakota were involved with this event.

The 4-H Project Expo is a tabletop display of participant’s work in a 4-H project. During the event, participants answer questions of judges concerning their work.
