USDA Food Drive

For nearly one in six Americans, hunger is a reality. And while USDA employees help millions of Americans put food on their plate each year, we also know that folks turn to food banks and food pantries for additional help during these tough economic times. Too often, food banks don’t have enough to meet the demand. That’s why the Feds Feed Family food, now in its fourth year, is a cause we all need to make an interest in.

This summer, USDA employees at over 1,400 offices across the country have been going above and beyond their daily duties to collect and donate food for the 4th annual Feds, Farmers and Friends Feed Families Food Drive. In June and July, USDA raised more than 280,000 pounds of food, but in order to reach their goal of 1.8 million pounds before the end of the drive August 31st they will need your help.

Please join them in helping to provide food for our local food bank and community, by dropping your donation at the USDA Service Center at 2745 West Holly. If you have any questions please call 433-2103.
