Residents of Sidney Help Raise $3,610.50

MillerCoors Blue Rock Distributing helped raise $3,610.50 during the 21st Annual Halloween promotion to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly childhood diseases. During the month-long St. Jude Halloween pinup campaign, thousands of participating restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores and other retail locations nationwide where MillerCoors products are sold asked patrons to donate $1 to support the hospital’s lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. In exchange, consumers received a pumpkin- themed pinup to personalize for display. This year, seven MillerCoors distributors participated throughout Montana. Along with Sidney and Miles City, residents in Billings, Great Falls, Helena, Missoula, and Kalispell, all contributed to help raise over $12,000, bringing the national total raised to over $7 million this year alone. Since MillerCoors adoption of St. Jude as its official Halloween project in 1994, more than $59 million has been raised for St. Jude. These numbers prove that from Sidney to Memphis, every single dollar makes a difference. “During this year’s St. Jude Halloween promotion, companies like Blue Rock Distributing and their customers supported the St. Jude mission $1 at a time, and those dollars add up, enabling us to continue to conduct pioneering research and provide exceptional care and hope for the families of precious young patients fighting cancer and other deadly diseases here and around the world,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Thank you to Blue Rock for helping St. Jude get closer to the day when all children who come through our doors can be cured and ensuring that no family ever has to pay St. Jude for anything.”

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Since opening 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and, for every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life.
