Mitchells Oilfield Service: Over 3 Decades and Still Going Strong

Mitchells Oilfield Service has been an oil field service provider in the Williston Basin and the Bakken Formation for over 30 years. Employing over 500 people throughout their 7 locations, Mitchells holds a strong footprint which allows them to serve customers in over a 6500 square mile radius of North Dakota and Montana.

In order to be competitive and to provide services required by their customers, Mitchell’s continues to upgrade their equipment with the latest, most innovative technologies available in the industry. They’ve recently added a 140 ton Link-Belt Crane to their fleet which makes moving drilling and re-entry rigs a piece of cake.

In addition to this, they’ve added a 2013 Kenworth 440” Bed Truck to their fleet. This truck can suck up mud tanks, mud pumps and loads of over 70,000 lbs. It stands a monstrous 5’3” from the ground to the bottom of the bed. That’s nearly as tall as this reporter.

When asked what his thoughts were on many of the oilfield companies leveling out, scaling back on hiring or slowing down, VP of Marketing and Development, Duane Mitchell stated “I wouldn’t call it slowing down. As technology progresses, work in the oilfield stabilizes and we have to adjust.”

Mitchell’s Oilfield Service proudly sponsors and supports communities they’re a part of and organizations within those communities. They are currently an MVP Club Sponsor of the 2013 Babe Ruth World Series being held in Williston, ND in August and a major sponsor of the Aaron Tippin performance at the Wings of Freedom III Airshow on September 7th in Sidney, MT.

The generosity of Mitchell’s Oilfield Service is not only made by the company itself, but it’s trickled down to its employees as well. “I’m pretty proud of this. Just our employees alone contributed over $160,000 in charitable donations last year. That’s remarkable don’t you think,” commented Duane Mitchell.
