Job Readiness Classes Hosted at the Library

The Sidney-Richland County Library and the Sidney Job Services will be teaming up to teach a six week course on job readiness. Each class will be centered on a specific part of the job application process.

The first class, which focuses on completing job applications, will be held on March 19th. In this class, participants will learn how to fill out job applications neatly and appropriately. Sidney Job Services will also be there to talk about all the services they have to offer.

Learn all about writing the best and most effective cover letter on March 26th.  This class will include what items to use in a cover letter and what mistakes to avoid.

April 2nd, 16th, and 23rd will cover resume writing, with a specific focus for each class, including using templates, tips and tricks for resume writing, and how to turn out a finished product.

April 30th will end the six week course with information discussing the interview process, as well as information on proper attire and preparation for interviewing for a job.

All classes are free and open to anyone eighteen years and older. These classes are great for those who are seeking a new job or those who just need to update their resumes. Please stop in or call the library at 406-433-1917 to sign up.
