Sidney Middle School To Perform "The Ransom Of The Red Chief"

Sidney Middle School students are rehearsing their annual production sponsored by the Eagle Foundation. “The Ransom of Red Chief” is adapted from the classic short story written by O. Henry in 1910. Two bumbling con artists get more than they bargained for when they kidnap an energetic nine year old.

The author is R. Eugene Jackson and “The Ransom of Red Chief” is produced by special arrangement with Big Dog/Norman Maine Publishing LLC, Rapid City, South Dakota.

Students participating in this wild, energetic comedy include Autumn Davidson as Jonni Dorsett, Brianna Brost as Sam, Boston Anglesey as Bill, Madison Brost as Constable Baker, Ashlin Hallonquist as Mrs. Tatum, Daniel Schneider as Mr. Dorsett, Michelle Loan as Mrs. Dorsett. Kodi Schulz as Miss Milstead, Jazmine Hernandez as Nan, Shoua Vang as Rose and Emily Domeir is the Student Manager.

There will be two performances of “The Ransom of Red Chief”. The first will be a school assembly May 24th at 1:30pm in the Sidney Midddle School Auditorium. A performance for the parents and public will be May 26th at 6:30pm. A freewill donation will be solicited with all proceeds going to the Eagle Foundation. Don’t miss this wild, energetic comedy.
