Workshop Offers Opportunity to Reach Out and Help Others Who Struggle

Behavioral Health for Your Family and Community workshop will be held from 9 am to noon CT on Thursday, March 29 in the Commission room at the McKenzie County Courthouse in Watford City.

School counselors, law enforcement, clergy, public health professionals, teachers and others are encouraged to attend this session to learn about mental and behavioral health.

The program will be presented over the IVN network by behavioral health specialists in Fargo. Participants will learn typical behavioral health warning signs, barriers to care, care strategies for the geriatric population, substance use issues and symptoms and concerns as current substance use trends. Finally, farm/ranch stress will be addressed as well as important communication skills.

A certificate will be available for those who complete the workshop.
