McKenzie County 4-H Archers Receive Honors At State Indoor Match

McKenzie County 4-H Archers took home third Place honors in the Barebow Beginner Division at the 4-H Archery Indoor Championships held at Nishu Bowmen Range in Bismarck on April 9. Team members were: KayDee Ceynar, Boston Foss and Paul Smith. KayDee Ceynar captured 4th place individually.

In addition, the Senior Barebow team placed third. Members were: Ryan Pingel and Jake and Clay Ceynar. Ryan Pingel placed 4th individually.

Senior Freestyle Masters participant Jake Ceynar was awarded a 3rd plaque for his individual placement.

Brent Schwan, coach for the McKenzie County 4-H archers, took home Coach of the Year Award.

This event is the culmination of indoor matches held across North Dakota. Over 400 archers participated in this competition.

Twenty-one archers from McKenzie County participated in the state contest.

McKenzie County 4-H archery has 68 members ages 8 to 18.

Other volunteer coaches for McKenzie County are: Dustin Ceynar, Blaine Hovland and Brandon Beadle.
