Junie B Jones: The Musical Set For April 19

The Long X Arts Foundation along with the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre is bringing America's favorite elementary school student, Junie B Jones, to the Watford City High School Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19.

You know Junie B from the beloved children's book series, now see the story come to life in Junie B Jones: The Musical on onstage in this adaptation of three books in the popular book series of the same name. Clad with purple glasses and all, Junie B., along with her classmates, parents, and teachers, sings and dances her way through the first grade, and while chronicling her adventures in her "top secret personal beeswax" journal, she learns the importance of facing obstacles head-on and turning bad situations into good ones. Junie B. Jones: The Musical, is written as a piece of theatre for young audiences and highlights the timeless themes of friendship, acceptance, and humility.

Before the show, bring your family for supper to support the Watford City High School Theater Club at 5 p.m. in the WCHS lunchroom. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased online at longxarts.com/event/junie-b-jones-the-musical/ or at the door.

Junie B Jones: The Musical will also be presented to every elementary school student in McKenzie County throughout the week. If you're interested in helping to sponsor this effort contact Jessie at 701-770-8659 at [email protected].
