About The Roundup
The Roundup has been a local publication for over 35 years serving the MonDak Region (Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana). The publication was purchased by Russ Wells in 1994. His son, Jody, took over ownership in 2009. The Roundup has progressed dramatically from a shopper into a free distribution newspaper and member of the Montana Newspaper Association. The paper is carrier delivered in Sidney and mailed elsewhere. We also have newsstands in Watford City, Williston and Sidney.
Our editor, Lois Kerr, reports on our entire area, and, with the help of additional photographers and writers in our area, we provide a balance of regional news of interest to our readers. We cover the latest business developments and also welcome news and photos from our readership.
Our distribution is over 8,638 homes and businesses covering northeast Montana and northwest North Dakota. This is an untapped market for your clients. Our readers are shoppers and are interested in finding the best products and services at the best price. Our fertile, irrigated Yellowstone Valley and dryland provide our farmers and ranchers with added purchasing power.
The Ag Roundup is our monthly magazine which is mailed to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers in a 100-mile radius of Sidney.
Our editor, Lois Kerr, provides a wealth of timely information of interest to our ag community. She writes feature articles on area agriculture related individuals and their accomplishments.
MonDak area farmers and ranchers have huge purchasing power and they're willing to travel to get what they need. Our magazine is distributed to farmers of the irrigated Yellowstone and Missouri River valleys, as well as dryland farmers throughout northeastern Montana and northwestern North Dakota.
Many area farmers and ranchers are mineral rights owners as well as landowners in the lucrative Bakken and Three Forks oil formations, particularly in McKenzie, Williams and Richland counties.
Those extra oil dollars have been used to upgrade equipment and vehicles, take a well earned vacation and remodel homes and farm buildings.
This is a huge untapped market for your clients who wish to market to the agricultural segment of our communities. The Ag Roundup is a direct line to those customers.
Our Golden Roundup is a monthly magazine designed to reach the "over 55" population in our area. That segment already comprises more than half the population of the MonDak region and is expected to grow.
The magazine is distributed to all of our readers in 8,638 homes, primarily in Richland and Roosevelt counties in Montana and McKenzie and Williams counties in North Dakota.
