    A total of 37 teams participated in the Monster Cat Roundup, July 15, on the Yellowstone River outside of Sidney. Some of the fishing teams included six husband and wife combos, eight father and son or daughter combos, three grandfather and grandkid combos. The tournament was run by the Montana Catfish Association and Steve and Ashley Harris. Its total weight of five fish.   • Jaronski Teaches Workshop in Ecuador

    Following an invitation, Stefan Jaronski who is a Research Entomologist with the USDA-ARS NPARL in Sidney, conducted a two week workshop on developing microbes for use as natural pest control agents in Ecuador. During his time in Ecuador, Jaronski showed attendees the whole process from selection of candidate microbes (viruses, bacteria, fungi, nematodes), through mass production, to application and inset pest management.   • Healthworks Closed Till Further Notice

    Following a sewer line break, Healthworks fitness center in Sidney will be closed until further notice. Although there was not much damage to many machines or equipment, repairs to the sewer line will need to be made before they can reopen. As far as the fitness center goes, most of the big equipment is all steel and just needs to be sanitized. The main damage is the track and flooring, which will need to be replaced.
