  • McKenzie Co. Community Foundation (MCCF) Awards Grant

    The McKenzie County Community Foundation gave out $3,800 in grants in December 2017. Recipients were: Save the Maah Daah Hey, Pioneer Museum/McKenzie County, Summit Counseling and Long X Arts Foundation. These grants were made possible with key gifts from area donors. Grant requests totaled $13,300 on $78,100 of county-wide projects.     The Christmas fundraising campaign of the Williston Salvation Army is running dangerously behind. As of Dec. 18, total donations to the Williston Salvation Army had reached only $84,500. On the same date last year, total donations were just over $116,500. “That’s a shortage of $32,000,” said Captain Cappy Moore, co-leader of the Williston Salvation Army. “Without help, we won’t reach our $183,000 Christmas fundraising goal.” If the goal isn’t met by Dec. 31, programs could suffer in 2018.
