The fourth annual Bakken Brewfest, one of three fundraisers for the Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday April 18th at the Event Center in Sidney. Veterans, the very word invokes thoughts of respect and selfless sacrifice. Oftentimes, we think of veterans as larger than life figures who stand between the faceless evil and us. I do not write to argue this point, but to clarify and sharpen it. Our veterans are not great because of their sacrifices but because of what they sacrificed for. No man or woman has ever risked life and limb for a cause they do not believe in and it is in my opinion that America is a cause that deserves that belief....

The Sidney Wrestling Club had another busy weekend on the mats. The little guy wrestlers went to Glendive. The middle school wrestlers got on the bus and traveled west to Belgrade and Billings. Sidney was accompanied by Circle, Poplar and Glendive for a dual tournament in Belgrade on Saturday, taking 3rd out of 16 teams. They then competed in an individual tournament in Billings on Sunday.
