At 14 years old, Amanda Deegan has been selected to represent Montana on the state team at Regionals. Regionals, which will be held in Kent, WA April 10 through the 15, will include gymnasts from clubs in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The annual Donkey Ball game will be held at Sidney High School April 11 starting at 6:30 pm. The event is a fundraiser put on by the Sidney FFA to support local FFA chapters. Four teams of FFA members and alumni will play a basketball game that’s a little different, they ride donkeys. One team from each of the Richey, Lambert, Savage, and Sidney FFA chapters will be participating. Tickets may be purchased from a FFA member from the attending chapters or purchased at the door....

We held our fourth meeting of the year on February 10,2013 and we had our fifth meeting of the year on March 10, 2013 at the Fox Lake Senior Center in Lambert. We discussed the fruit sales, club banne, food drive , a horse meeting, state livestock forum, speech and demo day, junior leaders dinner and dance,and our community service project. It’s disappointing that the Legislature tabled SB 295 – the bill to repeal the oil and gas tax holiday. Had it passed, the bill would have provided millions in new revenue to communities in eastern Montana that are facing major infrastructure expenses due to the oil boom. Now, instead of generating new funds to address the impacts, the Legislature is moving forward proposals that raid the general fund.
