    On June 12, Watford City voters will have an opportunity to remove the current $25 cap on sales tax within the city. A citywide sales tax of one cent was first passed by Watford City in 1998, called the Roughrider Fund, when it took in approximately $100,000. In 2014, voters decided to raise the tax to 1.5 cents, but retain a $25 cap on sales tax. Today, the fund has grown to more than two million dollars in annual revenue.     On May 28, 2018 we received information from Law Enforcement authorities in Oregon that they had been in contact with Debra Ballinger and that she was healthy and okay.     On July 14, 1918 Reverend Olaf Carlson was installed as the full-time pastor for four different churches. Scandinavian Lutheran was in Four Mile, Montana, St. Peter's Lutheran was in Sioux Pass, Montana, Bethel Lutheran was in Cartwright, North Dakota and the freshly started Zion Lutheran Church was in Fairview, Montana.   • Paddlefish Anglers Reminded Of Requirement To Report Harvest

    The 2018 paddlefish season on the Yellowstone River and the Missouri River downstream of Fort Peck Dam (yellow tags) has been under way for over a week, and as of Saturday, 284 paddlefish have been processed at the Intake Fishing Access Site station near Glendive. The estimated harvest for the entire basin was 265 fish. The high volume of water and rapid flows continue to challenge angler success.
