Farmer's Insurance of Sidney New Home, New Faces

Farmer's Insurance in Sidney has a new home and new faces. As Steffan Insurance Agency, agent Tiffany (Steinbeisser) Steffan is excited about offering customers the excellent protection for their home, auto, business, farm and ranch, recreational vehicles and motorcycles & life insurance that has been provided by Farmers since 1928.

Steffan is a Sidney native who sees the insurance agency as a great opportunity for herself and her family. She has made a lifetime commitment, with the hope that eventually her children will take over the business. Steffan is licensed in property and casualty, life, health and is also a surety and is working on getting her financial credentials. Although Steffan does not sell health insurance yet, she would like to in the future. In January, Steffan will attend the University of Farmers in Agoura Hills, CA for another week of agent training. She is also a graduate of the Sidney Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Class of 2011-12 and plans to join the Chamber after the first of the year.

Lynn Haugen, a 20 plus year veteran with Farmer's Insurance, and licensed in property and casualty, had been handling the day to day operations with the assistance of Lisa Shenk until Steffan came aboard. Lisa has since left the office, "We miss her dearly," Steffan said. "She was a great addition to our team and we hated to see her leave."

When Steffan took the reins, she started building her team, first with the invaluable Haugen, then adding Misty Anderson as a full time agent on October 14. "I have also had the help of the district office located in Billings, MT. They're awesome," Steffan said. "And I also want to thank Lynn for getting me through these last 5 months. Her knowledge is endless and she has been awesome." Steffan also sincerely appreciates all the love and support from friends and family as they get the agency up and running.

The business moved to 323 E. Main St., Sidney, with the help of Duane and Sherry Mitchell. "We really appreciate all their help getting us up and going," Steffan said.

Tiffany is married to Jeff who farms on the family farm and also would like to get licensed in property and casualty so he could help out primarily during the winter months. The couple has a son Jade, 4, and a daughter Addison who is 2.

Misty Anderson grew up in Savage and had been in office management until the opportunity arose to join her friend in the insurance business. Steffan hand picked her for the position saying,"She's reliable, committed and smart. I knew she would be the perfect fit." Anderson is licensed in property and casualty and is working on acquiring her life and health license. She is engaged to Jamie Petras, and has a daughter Kaylee who is 8 and stepsons Gage, 13, and Cody, 11.

Steffan, Anderson and Haugen are pleased to offer quality insurance to the community and invite everyone to stop by their office at 323 E. Main St., Sidney or call them at 406-433-1377.
