Sidney Chamber Banquet January 20

It’s time to celebrate another year of accomplishments for the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. Plan to attend their fun and informative Annual Banquet Monday, January 20 at the Sidney Country Club. The no host social begins at 6p.m. with the prime rib dinner being served at 6:30p.m. Tickets are $35. RSVP to the Chamber by email [email protected] or call 433-1916 by January 17 if you would like to attend.

Al Kesselheim and Thomas Lee are the featured speakers for the evening, presenting “Behind Every Door and Fencepost”. The men are co-authors of Montana: Real Place, Real People which received the 2013 High Plains Best Art & Photography Award. Kesselheim and Thomas have been journalists for decades in the American West and began working together in 2005. Both have seen their work in publications all over the world but have focused on the Rocky Mountain West. They have traveled separately and together all over Montana working on various assignments that have included stories on Jerry Cornelia of Sidney and other projects in eastern Montana. “A successful picture is one in which the viewer sees themselves. The more we see ourselves in other people and in other places, the more we will cherish these people and places – the more we will realize we all have more in common than in conflict. Truth resonates character. Character resonates truth. Done well, photography speaks universally and authentically, overcoming barriers of language and culture.” Thomas Lee.
