Out with the Old. In with the New

The old wooden railroad bridge over Ferry Coulee.

The old wooden railroad bridge over Ferry Coulee, approximately 7 miles north of Fairview, was replaced last Wednesday with a new steel and concrete structure. At the same time, BNSF crews were also replacing the north approach to the Snowden Bridge. The railroad line was closed for 14 hours in order to get the work done.

Maneuvering the concrete bridge section required lots of muscle as well as crane power.
