Sidney Coaches Honored at Montana Coaches Association Meeting

At this past weekend's Montana Coaches Association meeting, two Sidney High School coaches were honored by their peers:

Sidney High School Head Track Coach and Montana coaches Hall of Fame member Steve O'Toole received a 40-year service plaque recognizing his efforts as a coach and mentor for young people during his career in education.

Assistant Sidney High School Track Coach Steve Yockim was recognized as Assistant Coach of the Year by his coaching peers, for the 2013-2014 season. Coach Yockim has coached for 23 years, with the pole vault being his specialty for the past 19 years, and in his time has mentored 13 state champion pole vaulters, an Olympian, a high school All-American, and several other college All-American athletes. The award he won recognizes only one assistant per year from all activities that are sponsored by the Montana High School Activities Association.

Congratulations to both of these outstanding coaches for their efforts in behalf of the young people of Sidney!
