The Roundup is hosting its annual celebration of the end of harvest during Harvest Festival October 22-31. Area cooks are encouraged to enter their favorite recipes in our Make It With Sugar contest on Friday, October 24 at Reynolds Market. The prizes are always great thanks to our local merchants, and the People’s choice winner receives a $100 Reynolds gift certificate. Every entry receives a free bag of sugar, compliments of Sidney Sugars. See page 5 in this week’s paper for an entry blank and more details.
Area children are invited to use their imagination to create a sugar beet masterpiece in our Beet Decorating contest. Entries are due at Super Valu in Fairview by 2:30 pm on Wednesday, October 15. Prizes will be awarded and pictures taken at 3:30pm.
