Sidney Students of the Month

The Computer Department at Sidney High School has chosen Brady Bell as the October Student of the month. Brady is an excellent student at Sidney High School, ranking at the top of the senior class. Brady is currently enrolled in the computer applications course in which he excels. Because he does so well, Brady is always willing and eager to help other students to succeed in class. His questioning mind and positive attitude are much appreciated in the classroom. In addition to his stellar academic performance, Brady also participates in basketball and track and is active in Youth Alive and his church. He plans to attend college and Colorado Christian University. Brady is the son of Rod and Jan Bell.

The student of the month for the Family and Consumer Sciences Department at Sidney High School is Kirsten Strickland. Kirsten is one of our preschool student teachers in the school operated Busy Beaver Preschool program. This is Kirsten's 1st year in our Early Childhood Education class and she has gotten involved in all parts of the preschool operation, including helping to set up the classroom each day prior to the children's arrival.

Kirsten has shown much talent in her work with our 4- and 5- year old children. She listens and applies the concepts studied in the Early Childhood Education class. Kirsten has a good attitude toward learning and is organized and cooperative in working with her teaching group. She listens to instructions and is eager for feedback for improvement.

Kirsten is a sophomore and the daughter of Jackie and Ryan Laqua.

Congratulations to our 7th grade October student of the month. Maysen Mindt, you were selected by your teachers for your respectful, responsible behavior at Sidney Middle School. Maysen is involved in several activities at school this year. She served as football manager, and also is on the basketball team. Maysen has a beautiful voice and is one of the leaders in choir.
