Dynamic Models of the Climate Prediction Center

Join University of North Dakota's, Leon Osborne, Jr., Director of Regional Weather Information Center, on Tuesday, February 3rd as he kicks off the 2015 National Hard Spring Wheat Show.

Osborne is scheduled to speak during the breakfast meeting of the Wheat Show on Tuesday, February 3rd. He is a nationally recognized speaker for his ability to predict long-term weather patterns and has been asked to share his outlook for the 2015 growing season.

Professor Leon Osborne has been on the faculty of the University of North Dakota since 1979. He currently is a Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Sciences, Director of the Regional Weather Information Center and the Surface Transportation Weather Research Center. Osborne received his M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and his B.S. in Physics from Utah State University. His research efforts include atmospheric data assimilation and the applications of mesoscale weather prediction modeling on surface related issues.
