Funeral services for Doris Miller, 80, of Fairview, MT werte at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sidney, MT with Bishop Bart Stevens officiating. Doris Leone Isbell Miller was born February 9, 1935 in Dore, McKenzie County, North Dakota to parents Robert John Isbell and Mabel Beth Barr. She has two sisters, Gevena Jean Isbell Lanouette who passed in 2012 and Wanda Isbell Tollofson who is living in Bismarck, ND, and 1 brother Harold Leroy who passed in 1936. She was married to her childhood sweetheart on Sept. 10, 1955 in Sidney, MT. Doris graduated from East Fairview Grade School, Fairview High School, and later Dickinson State College where she graduated as a school teacher. She taught one year at Keene, ND, then taught at East Fairview for two years, and last of all at Spring Lake School 30 miles west of Fairview. She was greatly loved by the children and touched many of their lives with her kindness and compassion.

She is the mother of 4 children, Jesse Robert Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio, Alvena Gail Miller Mecklenburg of Savage, MT, Katherine Lynn Miller Cardon of Benson, UT, and Alvin James Miller, Jr of Boise, Idaho. Alvin and Doris are proud grandparents of 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Doris worked hard her whole life as a helpmate by her husband's side. She was secretary/treasurer for 40 years at Miller Bus Line, a contracting business. Alvin and Doris also owned the City Cafe in Fairview, Mt. They were also joint owners at the East Side Store and built and ran The Short Circuit. Doris also ran the Miller's Fireworks Stand in East Fairview for 27 years as well as a Ceramic Business with her daughter, Vena, for 3 years. She loved to paint flowers and sceneries, crochet doilies and afghans, and do all kinds of crafts. She along with Alvin spent years of selfless service doing Family History Work.

Doris fought a good, hard fight with Parkinson's disease and on March 27, 2015 quietly slipped away and went home to her Heavenly Father and all those loved ones that were anxiously waiting for her. She will be so very missed by all of us, but we are so thankful for her example and the kindness and love she showered on all of us. She truly was a Great Woman, Sister, Wife, and Mother. We want to give special thanks to the Loving Care and Kindness shown by her doctor, nurses, and aides at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care.
