Farmers Insurance Invests in Local Education

Since September of this year, Farmers Insurance Agent Tiffany Steffan, has given away $800 in grants to Sidney teachers through the "Thank America's Teachers Initiative." On a national level, Farmers Insurance will give away $1 million to teachers across the country this year. Teachers can go to http://www.thankamericasteachers.com for more information on how to win anywhere from $2,500 to $100,000, but their generosity doesn't stop there.

Each agency is allotted a certain amount of marketing dollars that agents can invest in their community, and Steffan has decided to offer two $200 grants to Sidney teachers each month.

In September, Kathi Roberts and Tymbre Stender were awarded the grants and in October, Sara Romo and Tammy Linder were the recipients. Not only is this a valuable and worthwhile investment made to our community by a local business, but the application process is as simple as sending a paragraph to Steffan explaining how that money will be used in the classroom. Steffan plans to continue the program throughout the school year as long as there is an interest and a need, and hopes to eventually open it up to all Richland County Schools.

When a teacher is chosen, Steffen will surprise them at their school with a $200 Visa gift card.

For more information, or to apply for the monthly grants, email Steffan at [email protected] or call 406-433-1377.

The Tiffany Steffan Insurance Agency would like to thank all of the teachers in our community for their time, talent, and knowledge! You are appreciated!
