NDSU Williston Research Extension Center and City of Williston Forestry Offers 1-day Workshop

North Dakota State University Williston Research Extension Center along with the City of Williston Forestry Department is offering a one-day workshop focusing on trees and gardening topics for the Williston area.

The workshop will be held from 8:45am-3pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Ernie French Conference Center at the Williston Research Extension Center (WREC). The address is 14120 Highway 2 West (6/10ths of a mile west of the Hwy 2 and Hwy 85 corner, on Hwy 2). It begins at 8:45 am and concludes at 3pm. Lunch will be provided for preregistered participants.

The Spring Tree and Garden Workshop is an educational class geared toward the homeowner in northwest North Dakota. Topics will include city regulations, selection, proper placement, planting and pruning of trees, as well as garden weed, disease and insect management, vegetables high tunnel production and nutrition. Homeowners and professionals alike will benefit from the knowledge presented by the NDSU Extension personnel, the Williston City Forester, WREC staff and a local retailer.
