The MonDak Heritage Center Announces Meagher of the Sword at the MDHC Annual Meeting

Join the MonDak Heritage Center for the Annual Meeting of the MonDak Historical & Art Society and the Meagher of the Sword living history performance by Neal Lewing on Sunday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the MonDak Heritage Center, 120 3rd Ave SE, Sidney. Meagher of the Sword is the story of Thomas Francis Meagher, Montana’s first territorial governor. Meagher’s colorful lifetime of adventure spans two cultures and four continents. Irish rebel leader, escapee from Van Diemen’s Land, American orator and statesman, designer of the Irish tricolor flag, distinguished Civil War general, and finally Montana’s first territorial governor, his untimely disappearance in Ft. Benton remains an unsolved mystery. Neal Lewing is an actor, singer/songwriter, playwright, poet, storyteller, author, historian, and managing director of the Port Polson Players Theatre. He tells Meagher’s story through folklore, music, and Meagher’s own words. The Annual Meeting also features the MDHC Annual Report, board member elections, refreshments, and door prizes, including tickets to Oktoberfest at the MonDak! FREE to the public!
