Charting the Course: Making Access to Amazing Rural Healthcare a Reality

In August, 2016, JE Dunn Construction began construction on the McKenzie County Healthcare Systems (MCSH) replacement medical facility.

Boasting over 125,100 square feet, the new facility will offer a wide variety of services; Urgent care, clinic, emergency, labor & delivery and surgical-outpatient surgery. Physical therapy, occupational services and Long-term care will be offered in the Connie Wold Wellness Center (CWCC) adjacent to the new facility. The assisted living facility, Horizon, is also part of MCHS and is in a building adjacent to the new facility as well.

The new facility will bring jobs in Dietary, CNA, LPN, RN, and Physician roles.

Lynn Welker, public relations and fundraising consultant for McKenzie County Healthcare Systems and the Benefit Fund of McKenzie County Healthcare Systems and CEO of Welker & Fevold PR, states, "We have received so many very generous gifts! Many families and individuals in the area have generously contributed! We are so grateful to donors; they are making access to amazing rural healthcare a reality!"

The $76.4 million healthcare facility is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2018.
