The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking input from the public on developing the state’s first pedestrian and bicycle plan.
A series of open house workshops will be hosted across the state to help develop the vision and goals for the Montana Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan.
The workshops will be held between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:
GLENDIVE: May 23, Eastern Plains Event Center (EPEC), 313 South Merrill Avenue
BILLINGS: May 24, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel/Ballroom C, 27 North 27th Street
Attend a workshop at any of the locations to share your thoughts on pedestrian and bicycle travel, and to learn about the planning process. A collaborative effort will help MDT develop and implement a plan to meet the needs of transportation users across the state.
Public input will help MDT assess focus areas for non-motorized transportation such as safety and education, system preservation and maintenance; mobility, health, and economic vitality; accessibility and connectivity; and barriers and challenges.
