Ranching For Profit Workshop June 22

Richland County Conservation District along with the Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Richland County Extension Office will be hosting Dave Pratt of Ranching management Consultants for part one of his Ranching for Profit Series on Friday, June 22. The workshop will begin with registration and coffee at 8:30 a.m. and program beginning at 9 a.m. in the meeting Room of the Richland County Extension Office at 1499 North Central Ave., Sidney, MT.

Dave Pratt is one of the most respected authorities on sustainable ranching in North America. His programs, which include the Ranching for Profit School and Executive Link have benefitted thousands of families. Dave Pratt was a Range and Livestock advisor with the University of California Cooperative Extension Service for 14 years, during this time he researched management intensive grazing and strategic issues impacting the profitability of ranches. He earned a reputation for innovative teaching with a practical edge and has helped hundreds of farmers and ranchers develop and implement strategies to increase profit. Dave’s new book, Healthy Land Happy Families and Profitable Businesses has received high acclaim from industry leaders. Wayne Fahsholtz, former President and CEO of the Padlock Ranch advised, “If you are serious about wanting your ranch to be successful/sustainable, then this is an important read.” Thanks to the generosity of the Stockman Bank this workshop is free to attendees.
