Come To Lambert For A Festive 4th Of July

The Lambert festivities will begin on July 3 at 5 p.m. with a car show in Lambert Park and Main Link hot dog and brat meal outside Lion's Den. At 8 p.m. the street dance will start at CQ Bar with The Relics and enjoy s'mores at Lion's Den.

A 5 a.m. wake-up call starts off Independence Day and at 9 a.m. will be the All Faith Praise and Prayer at Fox Lake Center. At 11 a.m. the Kids Bike Parade and Main Parade will be held. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated children's bike. After the parade, the Lambert Fire Department will hold the annual fundraising BBQ, accepting freewill donations. The Fox Lake Senior Center will be serving food, pie and root beer floats. The ball drop follows at 1 p.m. Open all day long will be the CQ Bar & Grill, Lion's Den and Museum & Country Store. The Fox Lake Senior Center will have open mic and a quilt show, there will be a tractor exhibit next to the Fire Hall and food vendors. From 12-2 p.m. there will be kids activities in the park. At 5:30 p.m., Main Link hot dog and brat meal outside Lion's Den. The Red, White & Blue color run will start at 6:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. will be a softball game. The highlight of the event will begin at dusk when the Lambert Fire Department begins their fireworks show; the public is invited to set off their fireworks as well, sending Independence Day out with a bang.
