Kenny Metcalf As Elton, Free Performance At The Richland County Fair & Rodeo, August 1

You may have to look twice to make sure Elton John himself really isn't at the Richland County Fair & Rodeo this year. Kenny Metcalf as Elton & The Early Years Band will be performing a free show on Wednesday, August 1.

Kenny Metcalf as Elton & The Early Years Band is known as more than simply a tribute band, offering a Vegas-style show featuring all the costumes and antics as Elton himself. The band was hand-picked to be featured on Ryan Seacrest's "The World's Greatest Tribute Bands" during Season 1, and asked to return for a live special during Season 4. The band is the only tribute band to earn the endorsement of Ryan Seacrest, Mark Cuban, and Caleb Quaye, Elton's original producer.

The performance began as the brainchild of Metcalf. After seeing girls flock to the piano to listen to a friend play Benny and the Jets in high school, Metcalf quickly learned to play the piano. After he was bedridden due to an autoimmune disease as an adult, a friend encouraged him to get back into music. Metcalf designed and staged the show himself and spent countless hours studying the mannerisms, costumes and piano techniques of Elton John.

Many claim experiencing déjà vu after seeing Kenny Metcalf perform, as Metcalf has both the voice and appearance of young Elton, including the rhinestone and iconic sequin costumes.

Metcalf and the Band has performed for national audiences of up to 50 million viewers, and has been nominated for several awards, including Best Tribute Band by the LA Music Awards; 2014 Best Tribute Band by the Vegas Rocks Magazine Awards; and selected as the 2013 Best Live Performance by Examiner.com.

From Benny and the Jets to Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Kenny Metcalf as Elton & The Early Years Band will keep you up out of your seats and rocking to the music.

The show is free to the public, and begins at 7:30 p.m. MDT at the Richland County Fair & Rodeo on August 1. To view videos of the band's performances and read real testimonials from fans, visit the band's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/kennymetcalfaselton/.
