    The Williston STAR Fund is seeking candidates interested in serving on its advisory board. The deadline to apply is Friday, Feb. 23, at 5 p.m. The applications may be emailed, or hand delivered to the Williston Economic Development office.     The Williston City Commission has approved a recommendation by the Williston STAR Fund Advisory Board to increase its annual Community Enhancement (CE) allocation from $50,000 to $70,000 in 2024. The approval was made during the commission meeting on Tuesday, Jan.23. The request was made due to an influx of CE applications this year. The Williston STAR Fund Advisory Board reviewed and scored a record 53 CE applications on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The request for funds totaled $279,200. The organization is disbanding at the end of 2023 in favor of a new independent group for entrepreneurs called Brew Your Business, (BYB) Williston.     On June 3, the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) finalized its decision to grant an exemption to Delta Air Lines’ (Delta) service obligation under the CARES Act. Under the CARES Act, Delta was obligated to provide one flight per day, three days per week between XWA and MSP.
