    The Lower Yellowstone Rural Electric Cooperative (LYREC) board of trustees voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 annual meeting of members scheduled for June 3 at the Richland County Event Center. This is in response to Gov. Steve Bullock declaring a state of emergency in Montana and President Trump declaring a state of emergency in the nation due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.   • Lower Yellowstone Electric Hires Company M-Power

    Lower Yellowstone Electric has hired a company by the name of M-Power, to collect asset information on our entire system. This information will include the type and sizes of poles, conductor sizes, transformer sizes, reclosures types and sizes.The contractors will also be locating primary and secondary underground line. The data collection is for GPS purposes and will assist in updating the maps LYREC uses.     The Lower Yellowstone Rural Electric Association Inc., 75th Annual Meeting will be held at the Richland County Fair Event Center in Sidney, Montana, with registration beginning at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Due to paving work that is in progress at the Event Center, parking will be different from previous years. There will be handicapped parking available by entering the West gate of the Event Center.
