    The Sidney community gathered together to support Sidney native Larry Lynde on Saturday, Sept. 9, who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The benefit started out with a four-person golf scramble and culminated with a supper, silent auction and live auction hosted by the Sidney Elks Club.     Terry Roth is a volunteer for the high school softball program and he has led the community in building an indoor sports complex. Roth is the board of directors chairman and Travis Rosaaen is the secretary. Rosaaen is a volunteer for the summer softball league and also umpires high school softball games.
