On June 17, 2024, Montana-Dakota Utilities Company (“MDU”) filed with the Montana Public Service Commission (“Commission”) its annual application for a Fuel and Purchased Power Cost Tracking Adjustment [Rate 58] (“Application”) for the July 2023 through June 2024 tracking period. 2. In its Application, MDU proposes reducing its base fuel rates by $0.00209 per kilowatt-hour (“kWh”) for primary customers and $0.00238 per kWh for secondary customers. The reductions are comprised of proposed adjustments to (1) the Current Fuel and Purchased Power Cost; (2) the Unreflected Fuel Cost; and (3) the Montana Public Service Commission Tax and Montana Consumer Counsel Tax. 3. The Commission invites any interested party affected by MDU’s filing to intervene in this docket. To intervene, a party must file a petition to intervene with the Commission no later than July 19, 2024.
