    Gary was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in March 2021, which has spread to his lungs and liver. He immediately began chemotherapy. In November, an MRI revealed brain lesions. He had surgery to remove the lesions they were able to access in his brain, and he now begins radiation therapy on top of the chemo.     A two-vehicle truck vs. truck crash occurred that involved a fatal injury at about noon on Jan. 14, at the intersection of McKenzie County Rd. 16 and 154th Ave NW, about 6 miles north of Cartwright, in McKenzie County, ND. A red 2001 Freightliner truck towing a tanker loaded with 165 barrels of salt water was traveling west on McKenzie County Road 16. A sheriff’s deputy vehicle was struck by another commuter hours before sunrise.
