At least 625 wolves inhabited Montana at the end of 2012 according to state wildlife managers preparing the federally required annual wolf conservation and management report. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has confirmed the first case of Hantavirus infection in a Montana resident in 2013. The individual is expected to make a full recovery. The resident of Deer Lodge County is believed to have come into contact with the virus while cleaning an area that had been contaminated by rodents. Sidney has been selected to host the 2013 Montana Federation of Swimmers State Swim Meet this summer. The State Meet will be August 3rd & 4th. The Sidney Tiger Sharks are the defending 2012 AA Swim Champions and have won the AA title 10 of the last 12 years.
