    U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) North Dakota State Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director, Aaron Krauter reminds farmers and ranchers that they have until Aug. 1 to enroll in Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and/or Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2016 crop year. “Producers have already elected ARC or PLC, but they must enroll for the 2016 crop year by signing a contract before the Aug. 1 deadline to receive program benefits,” said Krauter. “Producers are encouraged to contact their local FSA office to schedule an appoi...

    The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal regarding the installation of highway-rail grade crossing signals on 9th Street East in Fairview in Richland County. This is a cooperative project between the Town of Fairview, MDT, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF). MDT is providing funding for the signal installation.     Deer Lottery Held, Antlerless Licenses Remain North Dakota’s deer gun lottery has been held and individual results are available online at the State Game and Fish Department’s website, gf.nd.gov. More than 1,600 antlerless deer gun licenses remain. Only resident applicants who were unsuccessful in the first lottery can apply for remaining licenses.
