    On Saturday, July 16, community members gathered to see and use the Watford City Municipal Airport's new extended runway. The event celebrated the two-year project with a ribbon cutting, free airplane rides, BBQ, and aircrafts. The new extended runway measures 6,550-feet long by 75-feet wide and allows the airport the ability to welcome bigger airplanes to the area. A 2004 Peterbilt, driven by Donnie Wurtz, Choteau, MT, was traveling south on 129th Ave. NW, approximately 4 miles west of Epping, ND.     The Richland County Health Department expects to run out of free home COVID-19 test kits by early September. The department received 2300 home test kits in January and has distributed them to the community in the last several months.
