    Helena - Despite recent rains, high fire danger conditions persist throughout much of Montana. As a result, hunters may encounter closures or restrictions at Block Management Areas. Closures could change daily. The best resource for hunters making plans for late summer trips is the BMA closures and restrictions webpage at https://fwp.mt.gov/hunt/access/blockmanagement/restrictions.     North Dakota’s deer bow season opens Friday, Sept. 3 at noon and continues through Jan. 2, 2022. Bowhunters can buy a license online at the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website, gf.nd.gov, or at vendors linked to the department’s online licensing system.     On the evening of August 23, 2021, the Richland County Sheriff's Office received a report of a missing 2-year-old from a rural residence located west of Fairview. Subsequently it was determined that the child wandered away from the family residence. After approximately a 4-hour search the child was located and taken to Sidney Health Center to be checked out as the child had been subjected to the elements.
