Richland County's H&R Men's Softball Team won the Men's Class D State Softball Tournament in Bozeman on August 11, beating out 18 other men's teams from across the state. On Sunday September 8, 2019 at approximately 7:20 p.m. Watford City Police Department Officers responded to the 300 block of 3rd Ave. SW for a vehicle vs, bicycle injury crash. Upon arrival officers made contact with an 8-year-old juvenile and his mother. On September 2 at 1:46 pm Badlands Search and Rescue responded to Theodore Roosevelt National Park-North Unit, 2 miles from Oxbow Overlook on the North Achenbach Trail. Badlands Search and Rescue (BSAR) was called out by the National Park Service for a 66 year-old female with injuries to both wrists sustained from a fall.
