    On Sept. 24, the Corps released a final environmental impact statement (EIS) laying out future plans as well as expected economic impacts. The EIS describes analyses of predicted benefits and environmental impacts and lays out alternative plans, identifying a preferred alternative, discussing uncertainties, and other considerations for implementation.     In an effort to see if the endangered pallid sturgeon can successfully spawn in the wild, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Omaha District) will be executing an experiment that involves fluctuating dam releases of Fort Peck Dam between April and July 2023. In the spring when Fort Peck Reservoir's elevation reaches 2,227 feet, flows would be increased by 1,700 cubic feet per second each day until the peak flow at Wolf Point gauge reaches 16,000 CFS.
