For the first time, the Billings Symphony Orchestra performed in Sidney at the Anderson Pavilion in Veteran's Memorial Park. On Friday, July 8 it's estimated that between 500 and 700 people were in attendance for the free concert. Sidney Livestock Market just keeps improving the sales experience for its customers. This year, the interior got a needed facelift with some updates to the office which included new flooring. David Haverkamp placed a call to Lower Yellowstone Irrigation Project (LYIP) stating that they had noticed water bubbling out of the ground partway down the 45' – 50' embankment that served as the main irrigation canal's outside wall. Stockman Bank has reconfirmed its strong commitment to the MonDak area with the completion of a stately, three story brick and glass building on Holly Street in Sidney. Bank president Garth Kallevig explained the bank had outgrown its downtown location and expansion there was not feasible. Richland County Fairgrounds' new 4-H and school exhibit building is one of Sidney's newest commodities. The multipurpose building was completed right before for this year's fair and is currently being used for storage until warmer temperatures allow for hosting events. Formerly Kentucky Fried Chicken, Bob's Hen House has a new recipe, a new look, and a new owner. Bob Blair opened the business on Aug. 18th after about six weeks of cleaning, painting, and putting up the new signs, which Blair designed himself.
