The first Sidney youth Cheer/Drill Team Camp will take place Aug. 8 at the Central School gym.
The camp will be for students in grades 2-8. Campers will be split into two groups, grades 2-4 and grades 5-8. The camp will take place in two sessions, a morning session from 9 a.m.- noon and an afternoon session from 1-3 p.m. The cost to attend will be $25 and includes a camp T-shirt and bottled water.
To register contact Lisa Gorder at 406-482-9672 or 406-480-3193. Even though phone registration is preferred, registration forms will be available at the Richland County Fair sponsor tent Aug. 3 and Aug. 6 from 3-5 p.m.
The day following the camp, Aug. 9, there will be a trunk show/fundraiser for Sidney Eaglette drill team member and 2012 Miss Montana Outstanding Teen, Jalyssa Gorder. The trunk show will take place at the Richland County Event Center at 7 p.m. The public is invited to see Jalyssa perform her talent and perform with the drill team.
“The event will be a great send off before her trip to Orlando,” stated Lisa Gorder, event organizer and Jalyssa’s mother. Jalyssa will be competing for the 2012 Miss America Outstanding Teen title. Everyone is encouraged to come and show your support for Jalyssa before she is to compete at this prestigous pageant.
Free will donations will be accepted to help with expenses.
