Culbertson Cub Scout Pack 293 The following Culbertson Cub Scout Pack 293 members attended Cub Scout Day Camp, Williston: (L to R): Ryne Oelkers, Addison Stentoft, Colton Spacht, Eli Lambert, Tristian LaBatte, Clayton Marchwick, Dylan Dabb, Colby Olson, Travis Green and Zachary O’Neil.
On July 18-19 Cub Scouts of Pack 293 Culbertson participated in the Cub Scout Day Camp at Spring Lake Park, Williston.
Cub Scouts; Dylan Dabb, Travis Green, Tristan LaBatte, Eli Lambert, Clayton Marchwick, Colby Olson, Ryne Oelkers, Zachary O’Neil, Colton Spacht and Addison Stentoft took part in the events. Mike Olson, John Bergstrom and P. A. Olson provided transportation and adult supervision.
The Cubs were actively engaged at the archery and BB gun ranges, Scouting skills; tracking and plant identification, fingerprinting and flags of the world, outdoor cooking (Casada-dia on a grill), building rain-sticks and bird houses, design and making patrol flags
The events were organized by the Great Plains District of the Northern Lights Council. District Executive Steven Lowe along with Camp Director Angie Pluid and their staff did a wonderful job in the organization and execution of the events.
A thank you to Ken Gustafson, formerly of Culbertson, for providing the bales for the archery backstops. The heat on both days did not deter the Cubs from having a great time. The closing program held at the amphitheater was the climax of two fun filled days and was attended by the parents of the Cubs. A thank you to those who made the trek.
