Roosevelt Co. Fair Set For Aug. 10-13

It’s summer time again, finally, and that means fair time. This year the Roosevelt County Fair, Culbertson, is pleased to present The Copper Mountain Band and Action Entertainment. The fair will be held Aug. 10-13.

Highlighting this year’s fair is the Action Entertainment Co. The fair package includes: Nascar Remote Control Racing, Speed Pitch, Football Toss, Hole in One Golf, One on One Hoop Shoot and a free three-hour dance. This group specializes in fun for a wide range of people from youth to adults.

Action Entertainment is proud to be involved in the Roosevelt County Fair. They are bringing a unique interactive type of entertainment to the fair. The NASCAR Remote Control Race Cars are sure to please all ages. The action is fast and frantic as six drivers race around this huge 30 banked oval speedway. The indestructible motorized cars are controlled remotely from full size steering wheels. Tournaments will run throughout the day.

The free Sports Zone is a sports lover’s dream and one more great piece of entertainment brought to the table. Test your speed at the Speed Pitch. Test your arm at the Football Toss. Grab a friend and compete in our Basketball Hoop Shoot. The Free Sports Zone will keep your family entertained for hours. Come to the fair and see all that Action Entertainment has to offer!

This year’s Friday night entertainment is a concert held at the Culbertson football field. This year the Copper Mountain Band will be performing at 8 p.m. and tickets will be $7. The Copper Mountain Band is a fresh, high-energy country music group from the great state of Montana. Members include Jacque Jolene (lead vocals), Israel David (vocals, guitar), Shawn Tong (lead guitar), Nate Norman (bass), and Casey Mann (drums). Israel, Nate and Shawn are cousins that were raised on a homestead on Copper Mountain, which is located in Troy, MT. Other members joined the band from similar small communities in Montana.

Copper Mountain Band has performed for a wide range of venues; from opening major headliners to backing Nashville solo artists. They have shared the stage with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Michael Montgomery, Mark Chesnutt, Phil Vassar, Sawyer Brown, Emerson Drive, The Lost Trailers, Doug Stone, Buddy Jewell, Johnny Lee, Eric Church, Bellamy Brothers, Josh Turner and Jake Owen.

Copper Mountain Band has rapidly expanded their show regions throughout Montana, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming and Oregon. This year, they are moving into California, Utah, North Dakota and an international tour in France. Dedication, love for the music and their ever-growing fan base keeps them energized and passionate for success. With over 150 shows a year, they will continue to impress fans/friends along the way!
