SHS FFA Team Attends Fall Competition

Sidney High School FFA Team Takes 2nd In Varsity Agronomy

Sidney High School FFA members attended the annual Career Development Event for Animal Science and Agronomy. The Hinsdale FFA chapter hosted the day-long event. Ten area schools participated with over 100 high school students competing.

The Sidney FFA Agronomy team placed 2nd behind Hinsdale and ahead of Plentywood in a close race. Team members and individual placing are: Travis Obergfell (4), Tom Voll (11), Jimmy Topp (16) and Emily Schaff (22).

Roughly 40 students participated. Marianne Gartner and Kris Iverson participated at the JV level. The Animal Science team placed 6th of 11 teams for varsity. Travis (14), Marianne (16), Jimmy (27) and Tom (32) competed with 43 other contestants. Circle FFA won the varsity Animal Science Career Development Event and Lambert FFA junior varsity team won the junior varsity level event. Emily and Kris competed as individuals in junior varsity ranks.
