Foundation For Community Care Included In State Employees’ Charitable Giving Campaign

The Foundation for Community Care is pleased to announce that they have been accepted into the 2011 State Employees’ Charitable Giving Campaign (SECGC). The Foundation for Community Care is a non-profit organization focused on giving those who care about our community a way to keep their charitable dollars close to home while ensuring the continuance and quality of local healthcare services in Richland County and the surrounding area.

The SECGC is the only state-sponsored charitable fund-raising campaign where all 14,000 state employees can give to the non-profits of their choice using payroll contribution or cash/check/debit/credit card gifts. The campaign officially is now through Nov. 4 with more pledges possible into December. Gifts made this fall will be distributed between May 2012 and May 2013 to the local non profit agencies. Last year, the SECGC raised $454,676.

“We are excited and honored to, once again, be a part of this campaign,” said Staci Miller, Foundation executive director. “By making the Foundation for Community Care the charity of choice, it allows state employees a way to give back to the community where they live and work while ensuring the continuance of local healthcare,” Miller added. As a state employee, please use organization code 5158 when making your tax deductible donation.
