Do You Know Of A Small Business Or Small Business Advocate That Deserves Recognition?

The SBA Montana District Office is actively seeking nominations for the 2012 Small Business Week Awards. Nominations are being accepted for outstanding small business owners and advocates in a variety of categories.

The SBA awards are part of the National Small Business Week (SBW) celebration. SBW 2012 will be celebrated the week of May 20. Leading up to SBW, the SBA will recognize award winners in every state and territory. These award winners will go on to compete at the regional and national levels. Finally, the national winners and competitors will be honored during SBW in Washington, D.C.

Categories include: Small Business Person of the Year; Small Business Exporter of the Year; Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Entrepreneurial Success; Family Owned Small Business; Women in Business Champion; Veteran Small Business Champion; Home Based Business Champion; Minority Small Business Champion; Financial Services Champion; Small Business Community.

Any individual or organization such as professional and trade associations, business organizations, chambers of commerce, banks or employees of a small business, can submit nominations. Nominations will be evaluated on the basis of staying power, growth in number of employees, financial growth, innovation of product or service, response to adversity, small business advocacy and community involvement.

All nominations must be mailed or delivered to the Montana SBA District Office, 10 W. 15th St., Suite 1100, Helena, MT 59626, no later than Nov. 10, 2011.
